About Me

Some 40 years ago, aged 7 for Christmas all I wanted was a Dog not just any dog but a German Shepherd Dog (GSD) living as I did with my Grandparents they explained that I would have to look after it, and due to the cost that would be all I got, No toys etc just a dog and the equipment that it would need.

Christmas day came and there she was 12 weeks old and just a bundle of fur she was named Shannon she graced my life for 13 years and started my interest in dogs. Having got married my wife spotted a little dog in a pet shop window on hot summers day enquires revealed he was a Collie cross and 16 weeks old he cost Ł10 he came home became known as Sooty and stayed with us for 17 years and was joined by a line of rescue dogs that no one else wanted because they had some form of problem.

Having all these dogs with problems joining my growing household now which included two children, got me looking into Dog psychology, this lead to me studying it with the Canine Behaviour Centre and that helped create a better understanding of my dogs and improve their behaviour dramatically. This has got me to today and K9 KonXons in the hope that I can Help Dogs and their Owners and improve the quality of life for them both.
